La Petite Chambre

This is a story about the heart.
Edmond’s is not very robust. But it beats to the rhythm of a fierce independence, which makes him reject the idea of going into an old people’s home, as well as the ministrations of Rose, who is sent to assist him as a home nurse. But Rose stands up to his resistance. She knows the turbulence of the heart when one must accept the inevitable. Her own has still not recovered.

One day, a bad fall forces Edmond to accept Rose’s help...
