We want you to be able to visit the cinema safely and feel comfortable. All events are therefore carried out as a voluntary "3G PLUS event". Only people who:

  • vaccinated
  • recovered or
  • tested (negative PCR test).

The festival visit is therefore only possible for guests who are RECOVERED or VACCINATED or have a PCR TEST that is not older than 48 hours. For the visit, please bring appropriate proof and ID or passport. It makes the most sense to use the CovPass or Corona-Warn apps in conjunction with a photo ID.

In addition, pupils over the age of 18 who are subject to regular tests as part of their school attendance are granted access, as evidenced by a valid student ID.

Corona measures

Further information on corona measures in the context of cultural events can be found here:

How do we ensure rapid proof of the 3G PLUS criteria?

In order to avoid congestion due to access controls including identity verification, non-transferable admission tapes are assigned after verification of the 3G plus condition or identity verification. Please come to our employees in the container in the Altstadt before visiting the cinema, prove the 3G PLUS criteria and receive a non-transferable admission tape.

Please understand that we cannot carry out any tests.

Mouth-nose protection

Visitors to the 55th Hof International Film Festival are advised to wear at least one medical or FFP 2 mask at all events.

Distance rules in the cinema hall

We want you to feel comfortable. In addition to the requirements of 3G PLUS, the POS system is therefore programmed in such a way that a place to other visitor groups is automatically blocked.

Distance rules at ticket offices

A minimum distance of 1.5 m must be maintained between all persons to whom the contact restriction applies. Even after checking the 3G PLUS requirements, all visitors are recommended to keep the minimum distance of 1.5 m from other visitors or groups.

Hygiene measures

In particular, highly frequented objects are cleaned and disinfected appropriately frequently. These include, in particular, door handles, handrails, work surfaces, sanitary facilities. Cinemagoers and staff are provided with sufficient washing facilities, liquid soap, disinfectants and disposable towels if necessary.

Contact Tracking

To ensure contact tracing, all visitors and groups are recorded via the card booking system and verified via identity verification.

Ventilation concept

All cinema halls have a supply or exhaust air system, individual cinemas have air purification systems.

  • demonstrably suffering from SARS-CoV-2 infection,

  • Have symptoms that may indicate COVID-19 illness, such as respiratory symptoms of any severity, nonspecific general symptoms, and odor or taste disorders.

With regard to further exceptions, we refer to the currently valid infection protection regulations.
