Brothers Martin and Florian share an apartment, but their relationship is marked by ongoing tensions that repeatedly lead to psychological and physical violence between them. A hidden room in the closet they call "the Christmas room" becomes their refuge when a break from the chaos is needed, but the mutual threat of their mother always hovers over them.
