“It’ll work out alright”, is the motto of geology student Joachim who is soon due to marry the cook, Cecilie. They make a happy couple. But then something goes wrong: Marie runs Joachim over in her car, and after the accident, he is left paraplegic in hospital. Full of self-pity, he asks Cecilie to forget him. In her despair, she turns to the understanding hospital doctor, Niels, who is also accident driver Marie’s husband and only wanted to talk to her for that reason.
