After his mother’s death, Peter Kneubühl is threatened with eviction from the house where he cared for her. He fights to defend his home from his sister, the local government and eventually the armed police. Peter K.’s struggles force him to face his most fearsome and unpredictable opponent: himself.

“In Biel, shots are fired in the night. Hundreds of police officers are on duty. A huge media hysteria and mass rallies take place in the streets. Who is the man responsible for this chaos? A hero? A criminal? Was he unjustly evicted from his home? [...] Even while Peter Hans Kneubühl was still on the run in September 2010, it became clear to me that I had to shed light on this story, down to the smallest detail. [...] During my research, I quickly realized that the psyche of this supposedly insane man would be the central point of my story.
This man was trapped in his own reality. A reality he created himself, no matter the cost. This is exactly where the story of Peter K. is aiming: We take a profound look into the soul of a supposedly insane man. It is the modern tragedy of a man who, in total isolation, is no longer able to cope with society and his own family. He was trapped in his own perception and slowly destroyed himself.
By means of subjective narration, the tunnel vision of the main character is transferred to the viewer. [...] The film shows how, at the time, the media and society dealt with this so-called ‘amok pensioner’. […]”
