Off to the movies: From Thursday, 29 December 2022, Kristina Lindström’s and Kristian Petri’s documentary THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY IN THE WORLD will be in German cinemas.

Filmmaker Luchino Visconti traveled through Europe in 1970, searching for the perfect boy to embody perfect beauty for the film adaptation of Thomas Mann's DEATH IN VENICE. He found Björn Andrésen in Stockholm. More than 50 years after the film's premiere, its lead actor Andrésen takes us on his very personal journey. From a shy 15-year-old, he became a world star overnight, paying a high price for fame.
