On Friday, 13 May 2022 at 7:00 pm, the HoF Rendezvous with THE MAN WHO ATE THE WORLD (54th Hof International Film Festival) will take place in the presence of the leading actor, director and producer Johannes Suhm at the Scala Filmtheater Hof.
The film adaptation of the internationally successful play is about a careerist in the middle of his life. He is irresponsible, aggressive, greedy and narcissistic. He turns his back on his family, quits his job, wants only money from his best friend and keeps his sick brother at a distance. When his father, who suffers from dementia, unexpectedly shows up at his house, the situation threatens to escalate. THE MAN WHO ATE THE WORLD by Johannes Suhm is "on the cutting edge. Subtle and modern!" (ACID Cannes). A real indie film, one that takes its viewers on a captivating wave ride.

Since 2017, the Hof International Film Festival has organized the HoF Rendezvous under the motto "Let’s do it again" at the Central Kino in Hof and the Lodderbast in Hannover. These are screenings that show films of the Hof International Film Festival throughout the year. The filmmakers present their films in person. In this way, we let the festival linger on and increase the anticipation for the next festival. At the same time, the makers are promoted once again through our communication.
