The screening series HoF Filmtage Rendezvous will take place again on Wednesday, 20 September 2023 at 07.30 pm at the Capitol-Kino Plauen with the kind support of VR Bank Bayreuth-Hof eG in Vogtland.
For this occasion, director Heike Fink will come with her opening film of the last Hof International Film Festival OLAF JAGGER (German Cinema New Talent Award “Best Film” as well as Hof Critics Award “Best Production” 2022) along with director Daniel Holzberg and lead actor Ercan Karacayli with their short film TRIUMPH OF THE ACTOR.
The German-Turkish actor Ercan is fed up with being typecast. To avoid having to play a terrorist, drug dealer or radical fruit seller again, he sneaks off to an audition for the role of Hitler. Will this be the TRIUMPH OF THE ACTOR?
In OLAF JAGGER, artist Olaf Schubert goes on a mad quest to discover his true origins. In the cellar of his parents' house in Plauen, he discovers completely unknown tapes with interviews of his mother and Mick Jagger. How did they come about? What was going on behind the scenes? Might he be a “little” Rolling Stone?
