EINFACH MACHEN! SHE PUNKS VON 1977 BIS HEUTE

DON’T TALK, DO! SHE-PUNKS FROM 1977 TO TODAY (58th Hof International Film Festival 2024) is a documentary by writer Christine Franz and director Reto Caduff that dives into a male-dominated music scene - and society. Hitting German theaters on Thursday, 1 May 2025.

“Cut the talk – just do it!” In the late ’70s, punk was all about rebellion and taking control. The women in the scene fought their way into a music world ruled by men, smashed through society’s rules, and tore apart old fashioned ideas of what women were supposed to be. The women behind Östro 430, Mania D, later Malaria! nd Kleenex, later LiLiPUT share what it meant to be there from the start. This is their story – loud, messy, and unapologetically real.
