Call for Projects: 7 Minutes to Tell Your Story

    Do you have a project you believe in? A story that moves you? Do you want to take your project to the next level, but are missing the crucial contacts to make it happen?

    To mark the 60th anniversary of the Hofer International Film Festival, we are offering six selected talents the opportunity to present their projects to carefully selected industry experts in person and to make valuable contacts for the further development and realization of their projects.

    Under the motto “6 Decades of the Hof International Film Festival – 6 Industry Experts – 6 Projects,” the HoF PLUS 7-Minute Pitch will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. at Galeriehaus.

    In seven minutes each, the selected participants will have the opportunity to present their projects to six experienced experts from different areas of the film industry. The presentations will be followed by a discussion, creating opportunities to explore perspectives for the further development of the projects and to establish important contacts with potential partners.

    The following industry experts have already joined:

    • Ramona Sehr – The Playmaker, Head of Acquisition

    • Daniel Reich – Kurhaus Production, Producer
    • Christine Haupt – FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Funding Officer for Talent Film; Production of Cinema Documentaries; Production of Feature Films with budgets of up to €3 million; Special Children’s Film Initiative

    The six selected participants will not only have the opportunity to present their projects as part of the HoF PLUS 7-Minute Pitch to high-profile industry representatives, but will also get the chance to experience the 60th Hof International Film Festival up close and become part of the festival activities.

    Application requirements

    • Minimum age: 18 years
    • The pitch must be for a feature-length film project of at least 90 minutes. All genres and formats are equally welcome – fiction, documentary and animation.
    • Applicants must have previously presented at least one short or feature film at a festival.
    • Applicants must have previously presented no more than one feature film on television or at a festival.
    • Teams may submit a project jointly. However, only one person may participate in the pitch.
    • Both original projects and adaptations may be pitched.
    • In the case of an adaptation, please provide details on the rights situation.
    • Applicants must be able to be in Hof in person on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The event will take place on site.
    • Submission deadline: Tuesday, September 20, 2026.
