Cinema thrives on stories, new perspectives, and shared experiences. And these are experiences that should be accessible to as many people as possible. That is why, this year, the 60th Hof International Film Festival is introducing the SOCIAL TICKET: a discounted festival ticket for anyone who finds the regular ticket price difficult to afford at the moment.
Whether you are in education or training, looking for work, or on a limited budget for other reasons, sometimes money is tight even when the desire to go to the cinema is strong. With the Social Ticket, the Hof International Film Festival aims to make it possible for everyone interested to discover festival films and be part of a shared cinematic experience.
The Social Ticket costs €7.50 instead of the regular ticket price of €9. The festival is deliberately taking a trust-based approach: anyone wishing to use this offer does not need to provide proof of eligibility or explain their personal circumstances. The message is simple: the Social Ticket is intended to provide support wherever it is needed – without barriers or the pressure to justify oneself. At the same time, the festival asks visitors to use the offer fairly and responsibly so that it benefits those for whom the regular ticket price is currently difficult to afford.
In addition to the Social Ticket, the regular ticket options remain available. A single ticket costs €9, while a five-ticket festival pass is available for €40 and a ten-ticket festival pass for €80.
