On Thursday, February 5, 2026, SHAME (distributed by missingFILMs) will screen at 8:30 pm at Arena Cinema Munich (tickets here). Following the screening, director Lukas Röder and Thorsten Schaumann, Artistic Director of the Hof International Film Festival, will join the audience for a Q&A.
Lukas Röder has been a HoF regular since 2017 (HEIMLICH/“Secretly“). In 2021, he was awarded the Hofer Gold Prize (now the Friedrich Baur Gold Award), Germany’s most highly endowed award for emerging directors. SHAME was developed through the subsequent mentoring program with jury member Philipp Gröning.
The film’s lead actors, Heike Hanold-Lynch and Till Schindler, were recently honored with the Bavarian Film Award in the category “Best Newcomer” for their performances in SCHAM.
A compelling screening with post-film discussion.
