In an attempt to finally stand on her own two feet, Franziska breaks off all contact with her parents and struggles on her own for her self-sufficient farm, which her parents have left to her, to remain economically viable. But as winter sets in and the calving of her pregnant cow Mia draws ever closer, loneliness grows and with it a longing for security and family. A story about cutting the umbilical cord.
