Circus In town
During a circus performance, Mary the elephant loses her balance and crushes the trainer. The accident damages the circus’ reputation and the circus director sees himself forced to punish the elephant. This is opposed by his deep friendship with the animal.
The story is inspired by the real hanging of Mary the elephant in 1916.
