The couple Christoph and Branko live a middle-class to luxurious life. Christoph gives Branko a vacation trip to the so-called "Saxon Switzerland" for his birthday. When they cross the border into Saxony, things begin to change.
Everything goes backward, and people behave bizarrely, cheekily, dissolutely, and immoderately towards the two. When they arrive at their vacation home, they are observed intensely by others in the house, as well as two forest workers. This intense observation culminates in a planned and staged murder: a person is pushed off a cliff to land right next to Christoph and Branko. The couple tries to save the victim. Afterwards, they are suddenly confronted with a video that shows them as the perpetrators. A veil of gray lies over Saxony.

“A film by everyone for everyone. Our debut film, GRAUSCHLEIER, emerged from an idea we had for many years. This no-/low-budget film was only possible due to the great support of many helping hands. The artistic production of the film is strongly influenced and determined by our work as visual artists. Rock on!”
