After the Film Award of the City of Hof 2022 was presented to director Aelrun Goette, and Elisabeth Kratzer received the Jury Short Film Prize of the City of Hof for her film ANGELIQUE, the 56th Hof International Film Festival comes to its conclusion today with the awarding of the final film accolade, the Audience Short Film Award of the City of Hof.

The Audience Short Film Award of the City of Hof, endowed with 2,500 euros, goes to the film

    TAXI MAN by Leander Behal

TAXIMANN (9min.), the story of an encounter between a stranded alcoholic and a mysterious taxi driver who embark on a road trip of a very different kind, was already enthusiastically received by audiences at its screenings in Hof. The two actors, Michaela Behal and Lee Reimers, were also immediately taken to the viewers’ hearts. The film took first place in the voting in the cinemas as well as digitally on HoF on Demand. It was followed by TRIUMPH DES SCHAUSPIELERS (TRIUMPH OF THE ACTOR) by Daniel Holzberg.

The Audience Short Film Award of the City of Hof 2022 was awarded virtually, via live stream, to Leander Behal at 6 pm on Friday, 18.11.2022. In attendance were Eva Döhla, Mayor of the City of Hof, Peter Nürmberger, Cultural Officer of the City of Hof, and Thorsten Schaumann, Artistic Director of Hof International Film Festival.

We congratulate director Leander Behal, graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, and look forward to seeing more of his films!
