Exit Pangea
Ingenious and dedicated scientist Pouya and her friend Joro spare no effort to create the perfect simulation. In the process, Pouya becomes involved in a battle with Claire Mitchell from the mega-corporation “RenJi,” which she can only win if she merges with the machine, the AI EXIT, and thus becomes the impetus for the emergence of a new world.

“I often have the feeling that reality has at least caught up with science fiction, if not overtaken it. At the same time, visions of the future far removed from franchises and the familiar have become increasingly rare. But feverish visions of the future are part of our very acute present. And yes, actually, also a tradition in our cinema culture. So ‘science fiction’, the genre, the narrative stance of speculation, seems to me to be more important today than ever.
It was a privilege to be able to engage with these influences for the first time and to search for my own voice in them, to seize the rare opportunity to make such a film: EXIT PANGEA is not an answer to the questions of reality and origin, but an invitation to enter the network of memory and the future, of affection and evolution that connects us all across space and time – with the people we love. And even as I worked with my incredible cast and crew, the theme of AI became more important still. Again, reality meets speculation.”
