Nolan Bentley awakens in a remote forest, tied to a tree, with no memory of how long he has been there. Hunger and dehydration increasingly take their toll when suddenly a mysterious man appears and sets up his tent just a few meters away, bizarrely refusing to untie him. Slowly but surely, Nolan’s suspicions are confirmed: the stranger is indeed the one who has tied him up, and he has no intention of setting him free.
Time is mercilessly running out for Nolan, and he must confront the demons of his past in order to survive and find a way out of this nightmare.

“The film is a unique project for me because the limited number of filming locations and actors allowed us to produce a great and intense thriller in Germany completely independently of all institutions while working closely with friends and good colleagues, and enjoying total creative freedom.
What I find most interesting about Bark is that it is truly an ‘actors’ film.’ The tension builds from the conflicts between the characters and how much we reveal about them and when.”
