In the year 2024, in a small village in Europe, sensitive Maria is haunted by childhood nightmares every time she hears the sound of church bells. These sounds confirm her distrust of others and the value system of the community she was born into, day in and day out. As a result, she became an outcast in the village early on.
One night, she discovers that her neighbor is plotting something dark that confronts her with her past once again… Maria suddenly has to make a decision that will significantly shake her worldview and her inner moral compass. She knows that no matter how she decides, her life will be different afterward.
