Hamid, 14, is growing up with his single mother in a suburb of Paris. The teenager has extended his family through his soccer team, where he takes on responsibility as the captain. One day, after years of absence, his Algerian father unexpectedly shows up at his training session. When he questions Hamid’s chosen family, Hamid starts doubting whether everyone really needs a biological father.
