7 Minutes Pitch
Do you have a project you believe in? A story that moves you? Do you want to push your project further, but lack the crucial connections? We offer five talents the chance to present their project to selected mentors from the film industry and to visit the 58th International Hof Film Festival.
The 7 Minutes Pitch will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. as part of the 59th Hof International Film Festival.

About the Pitch
If your idea is selected, you will meet five industry representatives, just like in speed dating, to convince them of your vision. Within this speed pitching, you have 7 minutes each in five personal meetings to pitch your own project and another 7 minutes to receive feedback.
Jury
The final line-up of industry representatives will be announced online here. All participants will be selected by a jury led by the festival director Thorsten Schaumann.
Who can apply?
Producers, writers and directors with projects in German or English language
Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Pitched is the idea for a feature length film 90 minutes or longer, all genres are equally welcome - feature, documentary and animated.
- The applicant has previously presented at least one short or full-length film at a festival.
- The applicant has previously presented at most one feature-length film on television or at a festival.
- Teams may submit a project together. However, only one person may participate in the pitch.
- Original material or adaptations may be pitched.
- If it is an adaptation, please comment on the rights situation.
- The applicant can be on site in Hof on Thursday 23.10.2025. The event will take place in presence.
