The situation for queer people in Russia has drastically worsened,
forcing many to leave their homeland for their own safety. Evgeniy,
David and Sanya flee for the same reasons: they are Russian and queer,
but their experiences in exile in Germany couldn’t be more different.
David longs for community, Evgeniy struggles with professional and
language barriers, while Sanya experiences, for their first time, what
it feels like to be “normal”.
