Our fact sheet collects a lot of data about the invited film. We need this data in order to be able to present the film in the context of the festival, especially in our catalogue and on our website.

The form is relatively extensive, it asks for the following information:

  • Basic information about production and technology
  • Content descriptions, possibly comment by the director
  • Data on the cast and the employees
  • Pictures from the film, portraits of the director and the film poster
  • Technical data on the DCP

Fill out the form in German or English, depending on the language in which the information is available. We take care of the translations.

Content - Catalogue 01

Catalogue

The Hof International Film Festival publishes a catalogue for each festival, in which all films of the festival are presented. The catalogue is used by visitors to select the screenings attended and is a documentation and reference of the films shown after the festival. In addition, it is of course a sought-after collector's item among regular visitors to the festival.

Webpage

All films that will be shown at the festival will also be shown on our website. Many visitors, especially trade visitors who do not have access to the catalogue before the festival, use the website to find out about our programme. During the festival, the website will become a VoD portal through which the individual contributions can be accessed directly. Even after the festival, the pages will remain accessible and thus offer a presentation area for the films.

Press server

For press representatives, the Hof Film Festival provides a website where material such as images, texts and trailers for the films can be accessed for further distribution. Access will only be granted after registration and verification by our team.

Synopsis

Describe the content of the film. Depending on the length of the film, we need different sizes:

  • For feature films: Synopsis / Director's explanation with either:
    • only synopsis with 1000 to 1500 characters incl. spaces or
    • Short synopsis plus commentary by the director, together no longer than 1500 characters incl. spaces
  • For short films: only synopsis with up to 800 characters incl. spaces

Biography

A short biography in one or two sentences. Remember to include the date and place of birth.

Filmography

Name the year, the film title and the type of film line by line. Maximum 15 films.

Please upload images that are suitable for reproduction both in print and on the web. Use lightly compressed JPEG files to meet the upload limit. The images must be cropped and should not contain letterboxes.

The poster will represent the film in overviews on our website, in the ticket shop and in the hall. Since copies of the posters will also be hung up at the festival, it is easy for our visitors to recognize the film again and again. If we don't have a poster, we create a placeholder from one of the stills.

Cast & Crew

It is important to us that all important actors and employees of a project are named. However, we have only limited space in the individual media, especially in the catalogue. It's best to take a look at the examples above to get a feel for how many mentions make sense.

No more than 8 performers should be named.

Depending on the length of the film, we recommend naming the following employees:

  • For feature films: Writer, Director of Photography, Editor, Production Designer, Costume Designer, Make-up, Casting Director, Sound, Sound Designer, TV Commissioning Editor and Co-Producer
  • For short films: Writer, Director of Photography, Editor and Sound

Please name all companies that were involved in the production of the film. The address you enter as a "Local Distributer" will be printed in the catalog, so it is an important contact option.

By when do I have to fill out the form (fact sheet)?

Please fill out the fact sheet as soon as possible, we urgently need the information for the production of the accompanying material for the festival and for the optimal presentation of the film.

In which language should I enter the texts?

Please enter all texts in German or English, depending on the language in which you have them. Our team will then take care of the translation.

There is a change, where can I report it?
