    BUTENLAND goes to the cinema

Is there a different form of cohabitation for animals and humans? From Thursday, 6 February 2020 Marc Pierschel will answer this question in the cinema with his documentary film BUTENLAND. The winner of the GRANIT - Hof Documentary Film Award 2019 provides a change of perspective with his film. Butenland is a farm that has become a farm of life. With their project "Hof Butenland", the former dairy farmer Jan Gerdes and the animal rights activist Karin Mück have created a place where there are no longer any farm animals: A peaceful coexistence that seems almost utopian.

"The result is a tender film that hurts but also invites us to think differently." Alice Agneskirchner, Hans Andreas Guttner and Thorsten Schütte, members of the GRANIT jury

In German cinemas from February 2020. You definitely need to see it (again)!
