A New Year with the HoF Rendezvous at the Lodderbast

The screening is, once again, a sneak review fresh from the 2019 festival, which works just like a normal sneak preview with the small but important difference that all films are brand new festival films that had their world or German premiere in Hof in October. And what’s special about it all: the filmmakers come personally to the Hanoverian » Lodderbast, the smallest cinema in the world, to present their films to you.

Since the beginning of 2019, Lodderbast and the Hof International Film Festival have been working together. At the so-called HoF Rendezvous, films from the previous festival are shown in Hanover. On 2 January 2018 the Lodderbast cinema in Hanover was opened by Wiebke and Johannes Thomsen. With 20 seats on just 39 square meters, it is not only the smallest art house cinema in the world. The cinema program is characterized by a wild, varied and exciting compilation of current film premieres, legendary masterpieces and unexpected gems of independent cinema.
