This year's director's prize goes to JUPITER by Benjamin Pfohl, the production prize to PIGGY BANK by Christoph Schwarz.
Special mention for FISH AND CHEESE by Sina Guntermann
A special mention goes to WHEN I WENT TO VISIT THE BOYS by Katrin Schlösser.
The prize will be presented to a film from the genres of thriller, horror, action, science fiction, etc. and is endowed with 2,500 euros.
The German Cinema New Talent Award for Best Film, endowed with 10,000 euros, goes to the feature film by Benjamin Pfohl.
The author, director and producer is a guest in Hof almost every year, with or without a film.
The prize, endowed with €5,000, goes to the musician and composer.
On the Festival Thursday, 24 October 2024, Ernst de Geer's social satire THE HYPNOSIS , which captivated audiences at the 57th Hof International Film Festival in 2023, will be released in cinemas.
The festival opened with Emma Bading’s short film DOMESTICATED and the documentary ZEPPELIN OBEN RECHTS directed by Olli Dürr.
Harriet Maria and Peter Meining deal with questions about the future and present three films on the subject.
The series |8|16|35| celebrates HoF Classics on film as unique cinematic moments.
