CICERO Screening with Audience Talk in Munich

On Sunday, 8 May 2022 at 7:45 pm, there will be a reunion with Tina Freitag's and Kai Wessel's emotional family documentary CICERO – ZWEI LEBEN, EINE BÜHNE at the Filmtheater Sendlinger Tor cinema in Munich. Katharina Rinderle, producer, creator and author and the artistic director of the Hof International Film Festival, Thorsten Schaumann, will welcome all guests and lead an audience discussion after the film.

Eugen and Roger Cicero were father and son, but above all they were extraordinary artists. While Eugen achieved fame as a piano virtuoso in the 1960s and performed with stars such as Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Bassey, Roger filled huge concert halls years later as one of Germany's most gifted singers. Their life stories are inextricably interwoven and show fascinating parallels - genius paired with an unparalleled passion, the overcoming of boundaries, the balancing act between commercial success and artistic integrity, and finally the tragic outcome that shakes the music world to this day.
