SHADOW CHILD - ANDREAS REINER - IMAGES OF THE OTHER LIFE by Jo Müller

    Jury statement

"The soulful portrait of a stirring artist whose life is identical to his moving photography. The film is powerful, honest and unpretentious in an unpretentious way. Through a complex dramaturgy and with an extraordinary aesthetic, the director succeeds in always being as close to the protagonist as the latter is to the people with whom he creates."

    "Easy! Swabian! Great!"

"The jury has made a unanimous decision, which is particularly committed to documentary cinema and its artistic and human qualities. That is why we also decided to award two honorable mentions in addition."

    Special mentions

ROBIN BANK by Ana Giralt Gris

"A politically relevant film about an extraordinary activist who exposes the corrupt banking system and thereby calls for original methods of resistance."

NO BREAD WITHOUT CIRCUSES by Susanna Wüstneck

"NO BREAD WITHOUT CIRCUSES is already action, a passionate film about art. Selfmade, homemade lovingly, just when nothing else works, independent film making as it has always belonged to Hof."
