Gregory Kirchhoff makes a directing debut for “TATORT”

Gregory Kirchhoff opened the 53rd Hof International Film Festival with his delightfully satirical BAUMBACHER SYNDROME, in which Tobias Moretti and his son Lenz acted together for the first time. Now the filmmaker is building on that success with a “Tatort”: KATZ UND MAUS (CAT AND MOUSE).

Reporter Brigitte Burkhard is abducted on a street in Dresden. Her kidnapper, who hides his face behind a mask, contacts the police with a video message. Karin Gorniak and Leonie Winkler are the investigators. Actors include Karin Hanczewski, Cornelia Gröschel, Martin Brambach, Yassin Trabelsi and Hans Löw.

BAUMBACHER SYNDROME is available on Netflix; KATZ UND MAUS can be seen in the ARD Mediathek until 20 May 2023:
