Detlev Buck presented his first short film NORMAL BITTE (NORMAL, PLEASE) at the 20th Hof International Film Festival in 1986. The very next year he was back with another short film and landed a hit: EINE ROLLE DUSCHEN (A ROLE SHOWERING): a man seeks out a public shower where a sign tells people to shower nude. He is wearing a bathing suit, and just as he is preparing to take it off, the cleaning woman arrives... The film was the audience’s favourite at the festival.
Afterwards, he was a constant guest at the Filmtage, whether with films such as KARNIGGELS (RABBITS, 1991) or LIEBESLUDER (BUNDLE OF JOY, 2000) or as the goalkeeper of FC Hofer Filmtage.
Our sincerest congratulations on your milestone birthday!
