Böller und Brot exhibition at the Zeughauskino Berlin

Sigrun Köhler and Wiltrud Baier are "Böller und Brot" (Bread and Firecracker). From Friday, January 17, 2025, to Friday, January 31, 2025, the Zeughauskino in Berlin will dedicate a retrospective titled "Documentary Positions" to their work.

Since they wowed the audience with their first full length documentary SCHOTTER WIE HEU at the 36th International Hofer Film Days in 2002, they have fortunately become regulars at HoF.

“The inspiration came from an exclamation on New Year's Eve: Bread instead of Böller (firecrackers). "We want - in a figurative sense - both humor and seriousness, light and shadow for our film work: Böller UND Brot." What documentary filmmaker Wiltrud Baier, who together with Sigrun Köhler forms the unique directing duo "Böller und Brot", anecdotally formulates, touches on a concern that is rarely found in documentary film.”
