LIFE IS YOURS – Theatrical Release & Tour

Douglas Wolfsperger’s documentary LIFE IS YOURS (59th Hof International Film Festival 2026/HIFF -  distributed by Wilder Süden Filmverleih) opens in German cinemas on Thursday, April 9, 2026. At the same time, the director will be touring with the film (dates here). 

Gabriel, Elisabeth, Melina and Dunja—four transgender people living in southern West Germany—break away from lives that never truly felt like their own and take the courageous step of following their inner truth, despite resistance and the constraints of a conservative environment. This moving documentary accompanies them on their journey between rejection and hope—toward identity, love, and those precious moments in which they finally come into harmony with themselves.
