In Erinnerung an Tony Gatlif

We look back on Tony Gatlif’s retrospective in 2017 and his final film, ANGE, which we presented at our festival in 2025.

Tony Gatlif was born in Algeria in 1948. His Roma and Kabyle roots deeply influenced his filmmaking. In the 1960s, he moved to France. His films and commitment earned him numerous awards, including the Best Director Award at Cannes in 2004 for EXILS.
