Jan Soldat at Werkstattkino Munich

On Saturday, 13 June, and Sunday (8:00 pm & 10:00 pm), 14 June 2026 (6:00 pm & 8:15 pm), the Queer Film Festival Munich will present “Zones of Intimacy: The Films of Jan Soldat” at Werkstattkino. The filmmaker will be present.

With his uncompromising, moving, and often surprising documentary short films, Jan Soldat has been a frequent guest at the Hof International Film Festival (HIFF). His work focuses on people, their relationships, and forms of intimacy and sexuality that are rarely seen on screen. In Munich, there will be a reunion with two of his films previously shown in Hof: RESIDENT GROUND FLOOR

(54th HIFF 2020) will screen in Programme 3 at 6:00 pm, and AT LEAST I’VE BEEN OUTSIDE

 (55th HIFF 2021) in Programme 4 at 8:15 pm on Sunday, 14 June 2026.

Adding another Filmtage moment, HoFie Lukas Röder—awarded the Friedrich Baur Gold Award for BRAIN TATTOO at the 55th IHF 2021—will host the audience discussions for Programmes 3 and 4.
