Wenzel is an authentic poet and thoroughbred musician. Fans from all over the country make the pilgrimage to his open-air festival in Kamp. During GDR times, he was the main actor of the critical song theater "Karls Enkel." Later, together with Steffen Mensching in the clown duo "MEH&WEH," he fooled functionaries with enigmatic philosophical-political cabaret programs. Their DaDaeR programs became cult. Wenzel is almost manically productive, but the Corona pandemic has slowed him down. He has also produced with Arlo and Nora Guthrie, the children of folk legend Woody Guthrie, with whom he performs in Nashville. His moving songs are full of tender poetry, while others attack the Federal Republic with biting mockery. The fans find themselves in his lyrics. He has remained the provocateur and bard that people know.
