Ryk and Nono, two aliens, find themselves transferred to Earth due to a job change. Their attempt to perform an abortion unexpectedly leads to complications. They never anticipated that, in Germany—represented by the overworked gynecologist, Dr. Kratzmann—such a lengthy and bureaucratic process would be required. As Ryk and Nono are unfamiliar with gender roles or any feelings of guilt or shame, Dr. Kratzmann faces an even greater challenge. With determination, she navigates them through the intricate regulations of German abortion policy, striving to support them every step of the way.
A sci-fi dramedy that offers a critical look at our current approach to abortion in Germany, using a wealth of symbolic abstraction, exaggeration, and subtle humor.
