One single moment changes everything.
This central message was the emotional starting point for the idea behind THE SIGN OF THE DRAGON. The story follows a man whom no one believes in anymore. For us, it is a modern hero’s journey about the courage to never give up. Our protagonist loses his hearing and seemingly everything that defines him. But in the silence, he discovers new strengths. This film stands for hope and the realization that a new beginning is possible, even when everything seems lost.
The thriller plot surrounding the mysterious dragon cult is more than just a backdrop; it shows how dangerous things can become when people lose their grounding in life. What happens when you give up on yourself?
Visually, we want to help shape a new wave of young German cinema. We believe that with our crime thriller, we can show where crime storytelling – the TATORT ("Crime Scene") of tomorrow – could be heading. We combine familiar viewing habits with a youthful, international spirit.
But at the heart of it all, the message remains: Anything is possible if you really try.
