Before we move to Sundays, we will meet again on Saturday, 5 June 2021 at 8:00 pm for the HoF Rendezvous at the virtual Central Kino Hof with directors Regina Wiebe and Johanna Reimann and their documentary FIVE FINGERS NO SAME:
The film tells the stories of young people from Pakistan and Morocco who left their homeland with the European dream in mind. Each in his own way, they are all stuck between hope and lethargy in Bosnia.
“Five fingers on each hand and yet not the same,” say the two filmmakers. It’s about people as individuals who don’t want to be pigeonholed with everyone else. Something which is not a given. We watch a stirring film and talk to the directors Johanna Reimann and Regina Wiebe about this experience.
The cinema evening is free of charge thanks to our partners Central Kino Hof, Rotary Club Hof and » Kino on Demand. However, you are welcome to purchase donation tickets with a freely selectable amount. At the request of the filmmakers, all proceeds will go to the » NGO BALKANBRÜCKE, which campaigns for borderless solidarity and safe escape routes.
Since 2017, the Hof International Film Festival has been organizing the HoF Rendezvous under the motto “let’s do it again” at the Central Kino in Hof and at the Lodderbast in Hanover. These are screenings organized throughout the year as part of the Hof International Film Festival. The filmmakers also present their films in person. By doing this, we allow the festival to have further impact and increase the anticipation for the next festival edition. And at the same time, the filmmakers are promoted once again through our communication channels.
The HoF Rendezvous currently takes place, online and live, in the virtual Central Kino with the support of the Rotary Club Hof as well as Kino on Demand.
