The German Film Award will be presented on Friday, 24 June 2022. The production company Komplizen Film, which since its beginnings has repeatedly caused a stir with audiences and the industry at the Hof International Film Festival with productions such as Maren Ade's THE FOREST FOR THE TREES (37th IHF and Retro 50th IHF) or Sonja Heiss' CHRISTINA WITHOUT (38th IHF), will receive the Bernd Eichinger Award.
WE ARE ALL DETROIT by Ulrike Franke and Michal Loeken is nominated in the category "Best Documentary" as well as Sandra Hüller as "Best Supporting Actress" in THE BLACK SQUARE. Both films were shown at the 55th International Hof Film Festival.
