Nine nominations of HoF films for the Austrian Film Award 2024

On Thursday, 11 April 2024, the nominations for the Austrian Film Award 2024 were announced in Vienna. There were nine nominations for five films that celebrated their German premiere at the Hof International Film Festival in 2023 and 2022.

• Best Short Film: CORNETTO IM GRAS by David Lapuch
• Best Female Lead: Brigitte Hobmeier in WOODLAND
• Best Supporting Female Role: Gerti Drassl in WOODLAND
• Best Supporting Male Role: Karl Fischer in MERMAIDS DON'T CRY
• Best Music: Hania Rania in WOODLAND
• Best sound design: Carlo Thoss, Philipp Mosser, Reinhard Schweiger, Manuel Grandpierre in 15 YEARS
• Best sound design: William Edouard Franck, Veronika Hlawatsch, Manuel Grandpierre in WOODLAND
• Best sound design: Stefan Rosensprung, Julia Mitterlehner, Nora Czamler, Manuel Grandpierre in WHO IS AFRAID OF HITLER’S TOWN?

Now it's time for the final decision phase. On Wednesday, 4 June 2024, the winners will be announced at Vienna City Hall.
