Antonello Scarpelli’s German-Italian co-production COSÌ COM’È – AS IT IS (59th Hof International Film Festival 2025 / Distributor: mindjazz) already touched audiences deeply at the German premiere in Hof and will be released in cinemas across Germany on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

In this moving autofiction, Scarpelli tells the story of his own family: a loving but worried mother, a father struggling between illness and hope, and a son searching for his place between closeness and distance. From old family videos emerges a tender journey into the present — an honest portrait of rediscovering love, understanding, and connection.
