A film about four generations of women, about longing, family expectations, and the courage to follow your own path: on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 8:00 PM, END OF THE CIRCLE by Mareike Sophie Danisch will be presented as part of the HoF Filmtage Rendezvous at the Kommunales Kino at Künstlerhaus in Hannover (Germany).
Following the screening, Danisch and Thorsten Schaumann, Artistic Director of the Hof International Film Festival, invite the audience to join them for a Q&A and conversation.
For the Hannover-born filmmaker, the evening also marks a return to where her artistic journey began. Mareike Sophie Danisch started her career in Hannover, working as a theatre actress and with various production companies before beginning her studies in directing and production at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin in 2013. Today, she works as a director.
END OF THE CIRCLE is her first feature-length film and celebrated its world premiere last year at the 59th International Hof Film Festival. There, it was nominated for the German Cinema New Talent Award, the Pharos Shiver Screen Award, and the Friedrich Baur Gold Award.
Join us for an evening of cinema, exchange, and a fresh encounter with END OF THE CIRCLE.
