The short film TWO PEOPLE EXCHANGING SALIVA by Natalie Musteata and Alexandre Singh wins the Oscar® in the Live Action Short Film category. The film celebrated its acclaimed German premiere at the 59th Hof International Film Festival 2025, narrated by Vicky Krieps and starring Zar Amir Ebrahami, Luàna Bajrami and Aurélie Boquien.
An absurdist tragedy set in a repressive society where kissing is punishable by death and people pay for goods with slaps to the face, the story follows Angine, an unhappy woman who shops compulsively in a department store. There, she becomes fascinated by an ingenuous salesgirl. Despite the strict ban on kissing, the two grow close—raising the suspicions of a jealous colleague.
Congratulations to Alexandre Singh, Natalie Musteata and the entire team!
