A declaration of love to cinema
The HoF Classics series on film invites you on a very special journey: back to the origins of cinema – lively, luminous, analogue. In a unique cinema situation, we are showing film treasures that once premiered at the Hof International Film Festival (IHF) – on 8, 16 or 35 mm, just as they were conceived and made: completely original, completely genuine.
The whirring of the projector. The shimmering of light. The visible interaction of matter and time.
Here, film heritage can be felt – not as an archive, but as a living encounter. Cheers to the magic of the film, which breathes through light and celluloid.
This year, we're celebrating HoF Classics on film with works by Nana Djordjadze, Clara Law, Sam Fuller, David Lynch, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder – five visionaries who have shaped cinema in their own unique way.
