Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of Ewa, who is pursuing her dream of becoming an artist in Poland now that her son Jakub is about to start school. Just as she is invited to an interview at the prestigious Art Academy in Szczecin, she finds out that she is pregnant again—a pregnancy she doesn’t want. But legal abortions are nearly impossible in Poland. Surrounded by social pressure and her family’s expectations, Ewa struggles to make her own choices. In search of help, she encounters legal and personal boundaries that push her further and further into a corner.
