achtung berlin filmfestival with HoFies

From Wednesday, April 15 to Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the achtung berlin filmfestival—dedicated to emerging German cinema from Berlin and Brandenburg—will alongside many other exciting encounters feature HoFies and their films from the 59th Hof International Film Festival 2025.

Taking part are PLAN F by Ina Balon (Friedrich Baur Gold Award & Hofer Critics’ Award for Best Director‘) and LUISA from Julia Roesler (German Cinema New Talent Award) both in the Feature Film Competition, WHERE THE WAVES TOOK HER by Jana Stallein (SI Star Emerging Directors Award) in the Documentary Competition, THE ESSENTIALS by Florian Hoffmann (Medium-Length Film Competition), ISHAQ by Tuna Kaptan (Short Film Competition), as well as BALANCE by Björn Schürmann and DEATH OF MY YOUTH by Timo Jacobs (both in Berlin Spotlights).
