This is the story of Roger, a butcher who worked for 40 years in Beaune, Burgundy, and since his retirement has started a new life as a filmmaker. Roger shoots only on Super 8; he films insects in nature, so to speak, "filmed and edited directly." His short films are a great success and win prizes around the world. His wife plays the role of his muse almost without his knowledge. Roger, suddenly transported to another world, is amused by all this. An important clue: Roger is also my father.
An invitation to a family walk.

And he was able to wait for hours for an insect or animal to come out of its burrow to film it. One of his Super 8 short films was selected with eight others – out of one hundred and twenty-eight submitted – for the Straight 8 Super 8 film competition at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, the rights to which were purchased by Channel 4! He was even invited to give a Master Class in Brazil, so on this occasion, he flew for the first time...”
