Gan de Lange
Gan de Lange was born in 1985 in the Upper Galilee, Israel. She is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and visual artist, and graduated with honors from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem.
Her work intertwines the surreal with deeply human experiences, often focusing on outsiders, intimate emotional journeys, and unconventional narratives. Her films have screened at major international film festivals, including Cannes, Telluride, Aspen, Palm Springs, Vancouver, and Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Tokyo.
Her short film Babaga was selected for the Cinéfondation Official Competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Her latest film, A Bird’s Wish, received the Ophir Award for Best Animated Short Film and the Best Animated Film Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
