Pierre Kurwenal, a photojournalist from Montreal, is working on a report in Nicaragua, where he documents the war and executions.
Back in Montreal, his ménage à trois with David and Sarah comes to an unexpected end when, after 10 years together, they leave him without any prior warning. Pierre is left bewildered and with many unanswered questions. He is haunted by his experiences in Nicaragua, all the countless and senseless killings he witnessed and captured with his camera. These flashbacks are shot mostly in black and white.
A few days later, Pierre meets a young deaf-mute man named Quintin. From that moment on, a new life begins for him.
