Pascal Schuh
Pascal Schuh, born in Bonn in 1996, is a director and writer. He studied directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, where he completed his master's degree in 2025. His work moves between genre cinema and strong musical elements. His bachelor's graduation film AUF PLATTE (2021), a musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame," was a finalist for the 2022 Student Academy Awards and screened at numerous international festivals. His feature debut INTERIOR follows a man who is smuggled into strangers' apartments inside a hollow couch, in order to observe their residents in secret. The queer thriller won the Public Favourite Award as a work in progress at Industry@Tallinn in 2024. It had its world premiere in November 2025 in the First Feature Competition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), where it won the First Feature Audience Award. At Fantaspoa in Porto Alegre, INTERIOR was named Best Film of the International Competition in 2026 and has since been screening at renowned international genre festivals, including the Sitges Film Festival in the Noves Visions section. Its German theatrical release is planned for 2027, with a broadcast on rbb and subsequent streaming on the ARD Mediathek in 2028. Pascal Schuh is currently developing his next feature, NOT COMING OUT, a project that received the Talent Village Award at the Les Arcs Film Festival back in 2022.
